FAQ

We understand there’s going to be lots of things that you’ll want to know about us before making that final decision. We’ve answered the most frequently asked questions below that should tell what to expect when booking us for your wedding or function. If you have any additional queries, then please get in contact so we can assist you.

We are without doubt one of the busiest and most in demand bands in the south of the UK. We have played at every type of venue to many different audiences. We bring a wealth of experience to your event, not to mention professional equipment and a live sound to the highest quality. We understand that your event is special and you only get one chance to get it right.

No two events are the same so we offer a bespoke and tailored quotation based on your specific requirements.

We are based in the South West of the UK so the vast majority of our bookings come from Devon, Cornwall, Somerset, Dorset, Hampshire, Gloucestershire and South Wales. However, we are more than happy to travel further than these boundaries, so should you be interested in booking the band please don’t feel that as your location isn’t listed, then we aren’t able to perform for you. It‘s always worth asking.

You can book us by completing the enquiry form found on our contact page. Once terms have been agreed, a deposit of £175.00 would be required to book the date in our diary and secure the time and services of the band for your event. Due to high demand, we are unable to take provisional bookings and can only hold a date once a deposit has been received.

This is entirely up to you and your plans for the event. We offer some great FREE options as well as our manned PRO DJ option. Experience shows us that in most cases an additional DJ is not necessary, however we understand that some people may wish to book a full professional DJ service in addition to the band.

As standard, we will usually arrive and set-up from 18.00pm. We do offer earlier arrival times and can even set up on the morning of the event should this be required. (Subject to location and additional charges).

We play two one hour sets with the second set usually being slightly longer due to encores. The sets can be moved around to help make your event flow perfectly. For example, the first set could be a shorter with an elongated second set.  We also offer a 60 minute acoustic upgrade which can be played upon the arrival of your guests.

Assuming access to the venue is straight forward (i.e. ground floor room with no steps and vehicle access close to the venue), once all the equipment is loaded in we can normally be set up and sound checked within 60 minutes. Packing down can normally be completed within 60 minutes but can change dependent on the logistics of the venue.

We would recommend that the band do not begin before 20.45pm with an aim of finishing around 23:30pm. We do offer extensions beyond midnight should this be required.

We typically need a performance area of 6×3 metres, but we are able to squeeze into a minimum area of 5×3 metres if space is limited. We’ve performed in all types of venues from manor houses and hotels, to barns, marquees, ball rooms, bars and clubs as well as back gardens so we’re well experienced in making the most of the space is available to us. However, please be aware we are a 4 piece band with professional equipment so it’s important your venue realise that we would need a decent space.

We would request 2 double 13 amp supplies near to the stage area. We use mostly LED lighting which keeps our power consumption down but we prefer to run lights from one power source and audio equipment from another to reduce the risk of noise interference.

We are more than happy for you to pick a maximum of 5 songs from our repertoire to play, but we do prefer if we are left to arrange the set based on our own experience.

You are welcome to use our PA system for your speeches. However, we don’t use radio mics in our live setup so should you require them, you will need to hire them in advance. Please do consider the time of arrival of the band as your speeches may have finished by the time we arrive.

We can play your first dance live as a band as long as it is part of our current repertoire of material. This option is included FREE of charge. We would need to know your selection no later than four weeks prior to your event. If the song is not in our repertoire, we can look to learn this for a small fee. Alternatively, the original recorded track can be played over the PA via our own laptop or your own device.

Yes you can. We keep a small selection of local venues between Plymouth and Exeter booked for public performances. It’s amazing how many people actually book us after a public gig. Please check out our Gigs page for a list of forthcoming shows.

We love it when people get up to sing a song with us, but we do like to make sure that those singing or playing with us have some experience of being on stage. We’re happy to arrange this with you in advance. However, past experience has taught us that welcoming impromptu guests onto the stage can often end in disaster so we’d rather steer clear of that situation!

Yes, and plenty of them. We mostly use LED lighting to keep our power consumption low. It’s so important not only to sound great, but to also offer an amazing visual experience. We include lighting at every event providing there is adequate space at your venue.

Being a guitar based rock and pop function band, we strive to create that concert atmosphere at every event and endeavour to keep volume levels appropriate. However, the nature of the music we play means that we can only turn down so far. If your chosen venue has a dB limiter, please discuss this with us at the time of your enquiry as we would need to make sure that the performance you will receive from us will not be compromised.

We will always wear suits to formal events such as weddings and balls. We are a little less strict with other types of events such as birthdays and parties but will always look smart and appropriate.

Like many professional party bands, our work is our livelihood and so we take our commitments very seriously. In the very unlikely event that the band had split up before your party, every effort would be made to find a suitable replacement.

We can supply up to date PAT certification and have Public Liability Insurance cover up to £10,000,000.

Yes, but suitable cover must be provided for the band and all of our equipment.

Yes, we have two. Both are experienced in sound and lighting engineering and are included in your booking.

We would request a room in which to change, something to eat and soft drinks/tea/coffee for the duration of our time at the venue. In some circumstances, a hot meal will be required and this will be advised at time of quotation. Please make sure that any arrangements are put in place before we arrive as it can be awkward to find the client has put restrictions in place that were not agreed to in the booking.

Congratulations!
